On tour with the world's largest handball
Men's Handball World Championship is on a tour in Sweden, where we will visit all the eight WCh cities, and Stockholm. With the tour is the world's largest hand-stitched handball, 171 centimeters in diameter.
The tour starts at Farsta Centrum in Stockholm on November 17 and will then travel further south through all the host cities for the Men's Handball World Championship 2011. On November 26, the tour ends in the final city, Malmö.
Together with some of the Championship's partners we will be inform about the WCh and have a contest where first prize is two final tickets and an overnight stay.
– We choose to let the Swedish people compete for the last finals tickets because the major objective of Handball World Championship 2011 is to create a great party, said Frank Ström, commercial manager for the Men's Handball World Championships 2011
The tour will also be offering a lot of familiar faces. Staffan Olsson is one of those who will participate. In his case, it will be a visit when the tour starts in Stockholm. In Jönköping, the former national team star Johan Petersson will participate and in Gothenburg the goalkeeper icon Peter Gentzel makes his best to attract people to the Handball World Championship.
– It's fun to have the opportunity to get out among the crowd, even in cities and areas where handball might not be the biggest sport. The Handball World Championship will be incredibly important in the process of recruiting to the sport among young people, says Staffan Olsson.
