Statements after the Bronze final

Statements after the Bronze final

Valero Rivera, Spanish coach: „It was a match of two equal teams. Our attack decided the game, but I have to say that the match was imprinted by strong goalkeeper performances, too. I am absolutely satisfied with our result, as we worked hard for two years to go so far, not only during this tournament.”

Staffan Olsson, Swedish coach: „It was a tough and hard match for our team, but in the end I am proud of what we did during the game. My players fought until the very end and tried hard to win. In the end the Spaniards were the lucky team. My contract as national coach is valid until the summer and currently I don’t know if I will extend it. I will wait some weeks to decide.

Robert Arrhenius, Swedish player: We fought hard, even as it was not our match today. We are currently disappointed with the fourth place, but when we finally have realized what we achieved here we will be satisfied. Thanks to the audience for their great support in this match.

UPDATE : Swedish fans repeat their neighbours but in a softly way -> its not nice watching a winning Spain and swedish fans that ignore the winner in a worst way I ever saw !!!! Danemark fans showed how to be stupid .... fair play as it is known in scnadinavian countries doesnt exist . Barbie pseudo fairness died(well it doesnt mean the danish crew is same build but it explain their head functionality). Hope these ppl will burn in hell !!!!! go FRANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You right Hans : it happened in the match Danemark - Poland 28:27 as the danish fans whistle along playing the polish national anthem. That is not fair though the teams, means the men are very friendly people who respect each other even the opponent. So the danish crew is ok but their fans are really, really bad example for this SPORT. I ensure you it would never happen in Poland or Germany or France but the fact is it happens in a Scandinavian country where other Scandinavian country played.
France - Danemark : watching now : danish fans are scandalious - these are pseudo-fans ! and they are like animals in a civilized world .... no comment
Overtime for the Championship Match.. More photographs available at http://5f39edca.tinylinks.co
congratulations FRANCE !!! 2nd place for DANMARK, thats a gift for these UNFAIR FANS
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE........WORLD CHAMPION 2011!!!!!
congrates for the Danes, France was lucky!
France lucky? RIght, specially when Fernandez got 2 minutes even though there was no foul. Sorry, the crowd was mostly Danes, you got lucky to play in Malmo (near Denmark), and Denmark was over boosted, but in neutral place, no way Denmark would have won that game ...France was simply superior because they hold on and fought till the end. This is a sign for champions. France is simply legendary... Also, I am glad Omeyer was able to stop one Hansen shot (Hansen is a super player) when France was 2 goals ahead...
There has never been such a thing as "unfair fans". The Danish fans have been supportive all the way, and if you're calling them stupid you're quite the hypocrite. But congratulations to France. Both teams played very well, and France was simply better. Nothing more to it.
well.. i was rooting for Denmark, but great job France. I can imagine how the Danes feel right now. Just like the Icelandic fans felt after the Olympics in Bejing. It´s obvius there is no team that can stop France today. That´s a fact.
Danish players crybaby

Then you surely dont know the meaning of that word but I'm not surprised with your way of thinking. Everybody saw what happend after the polish national anthem was played - they whistle out that team and more bad the honour of each country !!! Also everybody saw what happend after SPAIN won 3rd place, swedish fans whistle out the winner and after that the refrere(that i can understand) SO PLEASE STAY OBJECTIVE !!!!!!
haha, a dane calling me a hypocrite :))) surely you was that you have proved already ! greetings ...
"fair play as it is known in scnadinavian countries doesnt exist" Bullshit!
Thor : maybe not on the fans side but for players its obvicious !!! I never wrote danish or another scandinavian crew played unfair - only the fans was unfair !!! I saw a lot matches and every time the players handle with a defeat in a great way - if compare to other sports, handball is the most fair play game :) god dag
Well if Kasper Soendergaard hadnt been injured early we might have been seeing a different match. There was no one to take his place really. If were going to talk unfair, watch and see the knee he got from Gille. Well, except from that France played with respect and showed their experience in overtime. They didnt panic.
i don't really think that the swedish fans whistle out spain, they whistle out two people dressed in gray who has a whistle each... guess who i mean? it's pretty obvious if you've seen the game and how they were givin spain the ball in many doubtful situations.
dressed in grEy ofcourse.
I think that both of these games could've ended the other way around. In both games equally good teams played each other, I think the scores is enough to proves that and they where exciting and the teams fought for their country into the very end. France played excellent, even though Niklas Landin completely dominated in the danish goal and won the goalkeeper game against Omeyer (who to be fair didn't play as well as he usually does) France showed that they can be unstoppable. You can't really blame injuries, all teams had injuries, France missed Daniel Narcisse, Sweden missed Kim Andersson, and I think that every player have had his share of hits taken to his body after so many games. I'm happy that we saw such amazing handball and I'm very interested to see what the future holds, because the French team as we saw today are quite old, and both sweden and denmark are quite young so it'll be exciting to say the least how the finals will be played in future championships. And also accusing swedish and danish fans of showing bad sportsmanship is understandable I guess, but I don't believe for a second that wolf.whisteling at the referees and such would never occur in poland, france or germany. This happens in every major sports event and saying that this bad behavior is exclusive to scandinavians is, I must say as I am one myself, offending.
If those two games were played in France or Spain then the crowd wouldn't whistle? Ever looked at the soccer-games between Barcelona and Real Madrid? No?
