Mejeriet will host the Lund Fan Zone during the Handball World Championships in January 2011. Fan Zone Mejeriet will be the focal point and meeting place for handball fans in Lund during the Handball World Championships. At Mejeriet it will be possible to see large-screen views of the World Cup games and a special Fan Zone program will be on. Mejeriet is located near the Färs och Frosta Sparbank Arena where the games will be played and Mejeriet is centrally located in Lund. - Mejeriet will work fine as the Lund Fan Zone. Mejeriet is established and well known and has extensive experience of events. Fan Zone Mejeriet will be a perfect blend of culture and sport. During the Handball World Championships Fan Zone Mejeriet will be open to all, with free entry, says Christer Wallin, chairman of the local Lund World Cup organization. Mejeriet is internationally known for its concert stage and its wide variety of artists. Mejeriet also hosts a theater, cinema, music tuition, rehearsal rooms and more. Fan Zone Mejeriet will be open every game day during the Handball World Championships. - It's exciting to make sport and culture meet in this way. We want to create a natural meeting place for handball fans during the Handball World Championships and also give visitors a sense of what Mejeriet is, says Johan Widerholm, program director of Mejeriet.
