'Glorious' – official song for the Handball WCh 2011

You don't have to wait anymore.

It's out in the air, and will soon be everywhere: 'Glorious' – the Official Song for Men's Handball World Championship 2011.

The song was unveiled this week at an event in Malmo Arena in Malmö, where Arash was also invited to try his handball skills against members of the Swedish national team.

The first live performance of 'Glorious' is planned for the opening ceremonies in Göteborg on January 13.

Platinum-selling singer, songwriter and producer Arash stakes his claim as one of the biggest pop music sensations to originate from Sweden, home to such pop pioneers as Abba and Ace of Base.

Arash has become a household name in many European countries and the young pop icon reached the top of the charts in Sweden, Austria, Germany, Poland, Serbia, Hungary, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Israel, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania and the Czech Republic... just to name a few.

He has sold gold and platinum in many countries and has accumulated airplay on MTV, VIVA, MUZ TV, ZTV etc.

Arash have received a lot of recognition during his career with awards like 2 “Golden Gramophones” in Russia (the Russian Grammy) and 2006 he won the “EBBA” (European Border Breaker Awards) prize in Cannes. And he also 2010 won the “Best International Artist” in the Big Apple Awards in New Work. Of course his songs have also been on thousands of different radio and sales charts all over the world.

In 2009 he entered the Eurovision Song Contest with Aysel with the song “Always”. The song finished in third place.

Arash is currently working on his 3rd album “Confessions” and will during the winter 2010 release a single called “Broken Angel”.

arash is really the best singer in the world
Not his best song, perhaps. But a worthy effort. Of course it is cheap. Likely, it will be replaced later on with actuall event footage from the championship in a "real" video.
