Danish home ground in Malmö

The Danish Handball Federation is enthusiastic in their "home ground" in WCh 2011: Malmö in the southernmost of Sweden.

At an inspection of their team hotel and Malmö Arena the Danes, with coach Ulrik Wilbek in the lead, praised all facilities.
– I am very happy to come to Malmö, says Ulrik Wilbek.

The visit began with an inspection of the team hotel, which Wilbek & Co. liked a lot.

– And then we come to this amazing arena. I look forward to moving in here in January, said Wilbek, who had a large number of Danish journalists in tow.

Denmark opens their championship with the match against Australia 14 January. And the match Denmark-Croatia 20 January is seen by many Danes as the first really big game. There are not many tickets left.

Both Denmark and Sweden should make it through to the round and will in this case meet in a Nordic battle in Malmö Arena, 22, 23 or 25 January.

The Championship final, which has been sold out a long time ago, will be played in Malmö Arena Jan. 30.

Yes, it will be "hjemmebane" (home ground) for Denmark all the way – except when Sweden comes in Main Round, of course... Then it will be a battle... ;)
Well, i hope for more danes than swedes when these two teams/nations will battle in Main Round. I remember that Ulrik Wilbek, after qualifying for this WC, said that it was important that the danish fans also bought tickets for the matches in the Main Round. Then we would have more fans than Sweden and i hope many danes listened to him. I really hope that Denmark could go to the semifinal!!! I have tickets to the one in Malmö and if Denmark would that semfinal, it would be the craziest thing i have ever experienced, i think.
