Playing schedule is set

409 days to go now. Only a little more than a year before the Men’s Handball World Championship 2011 is here! We just know two teams: France and Sweden, but the game schedule is set now – and further down there are a couple of small news on Facebook.

Men’s Handball World Championship 2011 begins 13 January with an opening match in Göteborg, where Sweden is one of the two teams.
The other 23 teams enter the tournament 14 January.
The WCh starts with Preliminary Round with four groups of six teams each: One group playing in Gothenburg, one in Linköping/Norrköping, one in Malmö/Lund and one in Kristianstad/Lund.
Preliminary Round ends 20 January.
The top three teams in each group proceed to the Main Round, which is played in two groups of six teams. One group is to be played in Jönköping and the other in Malmö/Lund, starting 22 January.

First ticket release on 12 October

On October 12, a bit more than one month ahead, the first ticket release of the World Championship 2011 will take place. This first batch contains the tickets of Group A (the Swedish group played in Göteborg) and 2.500 tickets to the final i Malmö.

Tickets to Group A (Sweden´s Group) could be purchased through Ticnet (www.ticnet.se) or directly at the ticket Office at Scandinavium (telephone +46.31.81 10 20).

Biljettsläpp 12 oktober

Redan om en dryg månad, 12 oktober 2009, släpps de första biljetterna till VM 2011. I denna första i omgång säljs biljetter till Sveriges matcher i Scandinavium i Göteborg samt 2 500 biljetter till finalen i Malmö. 

Biljetterna till Sveriges matcher bokas via Ticnet (www.ticnet.se eller Scandinaviums biljettkassa, (telefon 031-81 10 20).
Intresseanmälan för köp av finalbiljetter görs här på VM-sajten www.handball2011.com under perioden 12-23 oktober 2009.

Ännu så länge är bara två nationer klara. Titelförsvararna från VM i vintras, Frankrike, och värdlandet Sverige. Ytterligare tre nationer kvalificerar sig under EM i Österrike i januari 2010. Övriga 19 nationer blir klara först till midsommarhelgen 2010 efter olika kvalspel och playoff. Kring halvårsskiftet lottas de fyra sexlagsgrupperna.
